You should allow video capture through the live streaming. But otherwise, i saw this on Remnant a few months ago and thought it looked pretty cool. ;)

So I'm assuming this is only useful to those with devkits?

Seems neat, just wanna know if I can use it or not.

Nope, it works even with a normal xbox by loading a debug bios + the xdk dashboard, Here

So lets say I came across a few Original Xbox Debug kits. What do I gotta do to make them actually be able to use this stuff? Do I have to do any sort of mod to them in order to make this function with them?

As of right now this app doesn't even function with my laptop or desktop PCs running Windows XP. I installed .net Framework 4 to try to see if that would help, but the app just crashes immediately when I launch it.

I can't think why it would crash... Its built for .net 2.0 (I think, might be 3.x) but it shouldn't matter since 4.0 works with all versions.

The XBox your connecting to will need xbox7887's xbdm dll, but not having it wouldn't cause the program to crash.

So is there nothing else I actually would normally need to install on my PC in order to get this to work? Does this feed off of the normal Xbox Neighborhood app files at all? I haven't installed any XDK stuff yet... so I was hoping this would be a good replacement app.

In order to get the xbdm.dll on the xbox will I need to modify it in some other way? As is with the stock debug kit setup I'm not able to FTP to it from what I can tell. The typical EvoX/UnleashX style FTP stuff doesn't work with the IP the debug kit is giving me.

I guess my real question is, do I have to do some sort of mod in order to get the Xbox Debug Kit to allow me to transfer files to it via FTP? I'd prefer to not have to mod this one just because it is a debug kit and so to me it's sort of fragile and not replaceable haha.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :P

If you can launch Evox or Unleashed you should be able to FTP.
Your FTP IP will be different to your debug IP.
This does not use any XDK files.

LJ: The regular xbox neighborhood (that is installed by the XDK) uses the xbox debug manager (on the PC, xboxdbg.dll IIRC) for the various console communications. Since xbox exploring (ie, xbox neighborhood) is all done via a Windows Explorer frontend, there's no need for any FTPing support. Since you have actual debug kits, I can hook you up with an XDK install if you need.

Also, if it's crashing, it should be providing a stack trace (since it's .NET).

I get the typical Send Error Report screen thing that pops up all the time when random stuff crashes. If that'd be useful to ye I'd try to use it again for ye.

Also, if you could hook me up Korn that'd be swell. I picked up a few of these things and I wanna play with em! haha.

I believe the reason that it was crashing for you, LlamaJuice, is because you were downloading the YeloNeighborhood v8 update file. That only contains an .exe and not the rest of the files (the DLLs and all the other files) that you need to run the program. I ran into the same problem until I realized that I needed more then just the .exe to run the program. I don't know if it was intentional of XZodia, but the v8 and v7 versions should work fine.

*checks* Yup, I did just download the update...

/feels like a noob

When I get the chance I'll try the v8 download with the update and see how that goes.

Don't worry, could've happened to any of us.

Anyway, I can't seem to connect to my console. Sometimes it will search for literally a millisecond and then go back to the screen where it shows your IP. Other times I can get far enough to let the bar load until it goes back to the IP screen. I set my IP correctly in the debug dash and UnleashX and tried looking for the console then and neither worked.
