Actually, it looks like the post count is counting how many topics you've created, not how many posts you've made. Interesting :|

Nvm

Seems that its only counting posts in certain forums.

I'd vote for bigger avatars (~100x120) and no signatures.
Only a distraction tbh, and take up too much space.

Move the "view new content" link into a button on the navigation bar.

Maybe also setting a permanent site width for the layout?

Were soooo picky :L

Inorite.

I'm okay with the site width expanding to fit the browser, but I'd be okay with a set width, too.

Avatars ~100x100 would be nice. They don't need to be any bigger than that. Hell, I even kinda like them small. I'm okay with "no signatures" too. Or at least smallish ones.

I don't give a hogwash about post count, lol.

You don't care for no signatures? Signatures give additional personality to you're profile. Removing them would just make this place like an updated version Halomaps forum (in my opinion).

I say keep signatures. If you don't want to see them, then just disable them in your board preferences.

I just wanted to ask, why does my post count remain at 2 when I've made more than a handful of posts?

If you're just posting for postcount++ you can get out now.

Yes I agree with this, and Sceny is right in that we'd just be another Halomaps without sigs.

Whoah calm down dude. That's obviously not what he meant, he was mentioning something that seemed messed up. Geez it's only been one day since we've all been here and there are already posts like this?

The 'Forums' and 'User Lounge' tabs in the navigation bar both stay 'selected' on either forum.

Why is it that people have to wait for there threads to go live after moderators+ approval?

That's in the releases and tutorials sections only afaik. Kinda like how at ModHalo you can't just post in the "Advanced Mods" section, a mod has to move it there.

Keeps out the posts like "I changed the warthog's speed!!! lawl!1!!".

Edit: Suggestion - Since post count isn't something anyone should really care about, can we just remove it from the left panel? Maybe you could view it from a user's profile if you really wanted to find out, but there's no need to display it as though it's something that matters.

That's actually intended, as a visual cue that hey, these kind of go together, but are separated. We're going to be adding some new subforums here soon, so hold off on the "oh well just merge them" until you see how much space is actually ate up.

Also, I personally hate fixed width forums, and quite frankly, don't understand the point. Unless it can be configured by the user (which would have to be a PITA of a thing for the skinners/developers we (will) have to account for), we're going to stick with the adjusting-to-your-browsers-width.

At first I was like "wtf, did I break post counts somewhere?". Then I remembered that I actually setup the the Community Forums (ie, User Lounge) to not count towards posts. I think community content is the same, since we didn't want people trying to post crap just for the sake of posting.

We may remove the post count field in the Halomods theme, just as a way of removing extra info. Signatures however, since they're configurable by the user, will remain as is. Don't like 'em? Turn 'em off. That's what I did. Let all the guests/lurkers suffer for not registering.

^I'm okay with all of this.

Edit: Can we make the "locked topic" icon be at 50% opacity? At full opacity it looks as though there are new posts to be read there. I know that the forum doesn't differentiate between read and unread locked topics (at least I think it doesn't), but I'd rather have them look as though they've been read.

This is more of a question then a suggestion about the piracy rules.

Can a user provide a link to a .map file rather then a patch?
Sometimes the modified map is smaller in file size then the patch and it doesn't make sense to upload a larger file.

Wait...a map is smaller than the patch file :v?

Quick Suggestion:

It would be kind of cool to have a stickied Rules and Guidelines post in each thread so that we know what the specific guidelines in posting topics and stuff. For instance, in the event that we post a tool or a mod, it would be nice to be able to know what guidelines are necessary (whatever they may be).

Let Me Add on:

I would like to see the Halo 2 thread host the H2 Modding Tools. If I want to post modding tools that other people made so that we can get a stock pile of apps, what is the best way of posting it?

Merge the two boards. That would be nice.

Also, post count is only working for me on this forum.

Can we get an image re-sizer. So when we post a huge image in a thread it resizes it so if you click it, it will go to full size, and visa versa.

It seems we already have it, but it doesn't resize it that small, just so that it can fit in the forum width.

Haha, I think this thread is going to get more suggestions than I imagined.

Does the attachment function work for threads?
