Posts I've Made
Yesterday, 05:20 PMWorks flawlessly for me, had a Windows 7 laptop and was able to use the provided .bat and my own zipped up HCE. I appreciate it greatly.
I don't have access to an XP or Win8 computer, but do you know if it works just as well or are there slight necessary modifications?
Yesterday, 04:02 PMYou said it's only allowed on servers with SmG? What about LAN networks?
19 July 2014 - 03:02 PMYou're not alone, people just check in periodically to see any news & updates, the game is 14 years old.
18 July 2014 - 05:29 PMMan, that's insanely helpful, it shouldn't be a problem doing this now.
I think my one last question is if I extract the registry from a Win7-64bit pc, will the registry not work on XP, 32bit, Vista, or 8? I'm not very familiar with windows registry files or backwards/forwards compatibility.
18 July 2014 - 05:19 AMI tried it out, my registry file for halo does not match others. I'm on Windows 7 64-bit.
This is what I see: http://i.imgur.com/RFWHrcv.png
I'm missing whole PID & Digital Product ID.
After exporting the reg anyway and registering it on a pc without halo ce, I got an invalid cd key error when launching from the HaloCE "portable" directory.
Any idea for what to do / how to fix? Also, my HaloCE reg is under HKEY_CURRENT_USER, not HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. Not sure if that's just a winXP --> win7 thing.
Thanks for all the help so far
